book review: far arden

Far Arden is a tale of adventure in the high arctic by Kevin Cannon who wrote and illustrated it. It’s got a very indie-comic vibe, with loads of small panels and kind of ridiculous action and descriptive sound effects (like “drag inside” and “human-sized bite!”). It’s a melodramatic tale of looking for the mythical Far Arden. There were four companions looking for it but their mentor has disappeared and found it leaving the rest, who’ve had a falling out are all competing to find this paradise. It’s good (though I’m glad I read it as a library book).
